Amazon will allow its users to have an amazing summary of all the reviews for a product.

Indeed, an AI-generated summary will synthesize the hundreds or thousands of reviews on a popular product to save you from reading everything.

Summarizing articles (summarization) is undoubtedly one of the most popular and rapidly actionable GenAI use cases in companies right now.

This may seem like a trivial feature. But if you think about it, it's highly likely to impact retention: All the people who get used to these kinds of features will find it harder to go to other sites that don't offer the same user experience.

Of course not everyone has the infrastructure and resources that Amazon has, but I think any company with an e-commerce platform should, at a minimum, look into generative AI, with the goal of improving customer retention.
